Matilda & Jacobs// Chain Gang II

Raw metallic fresh water farmed pearls weaved with aluminum and silver Byzantine chainmail necklace. 

Started with the byzantine chainmail pattern from the Chain Gang Part I (second picture). We went back and forth but I wanted some time alone with it. Sat with the piece while watching some Tom & Jerry with the sound off and I seen a character throw something, then it hit me, some kind metallic/silver pearls/marbles  to break up the chainmail pattern. Next day I linked up with Mr. McNamara, hit em with the idea to add pearls. Ma man took on the update, locked in with it, then hit me last Sunday morning around 2am with pictures of the update, “absolutely brilliant” is what I thought, we cooked. 

This ended up being more gnarly than we imagined. There’s a Chain Gang Part III, which would’ve been number II if not for some problems (can be solved) with weaving the pearls with the chain pattern.
